Munterich, Eugenia

Eugenia (Jean) Munterich, 92, of Farmington, beloved wife of the late George C. Munterich, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 18th, 2011 at the Touchpoints at Farmington. Eugenia was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 4th, 1919. She moved to Farmington with her husband and children in 1953 and resided there for 58 years. Eugenia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed daily visits and assistance from her daughter-in-law, two fabulous years at Village Gate and seven months of exceptional care at Touchpoints at Farmington. She is survived by her son Ronald Munterich and his wife Lucille of Farmington, her daughter Georgene Weigold and her husband Roger of Greensboro, NC, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Garden St., Farmington on Saturday (July 23) at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Little Hearts, Inc., PO Box 171, Cromwell, CT 06416. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc.

  1. Eugenia was a specail lady and thought of very highly at Village Gate.
    She was a very quiet women with always a smile.
    Eugenia was very well cared for by her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
