Taft, Sophie

Sophie Louise Taft, died May 31, 2012 at the age of 100. She was born in Hartford on Dec. 30, 1911 the daughter of Louis and Victoria (Radzikoski) Dobrynski. She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Taft; her brothers Frank and John Dobrynski and her sisters Mary Spain and Anna Kane. She is survived by a nephew, Peter Kane. Sophie (Louise) retired from the Aetna after 35 years and resided in the Town of Farmington most of her life. She appreciated the excellent care she received at the Avon Health Center over the past seven years.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday, June 7 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Patrick, Farmington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington, CT 06032

    I took care of “Cousin Sophie” for five years on the second shift at Avon Health Care…I regarded her as family! She was very complient and loveable.
