Scholl, Jean Caveney

Jean Caveney Scholl, 71, passed away peacefully at Bristol Hospital on February 22, 2013 after a lengthy and arduous battle with pulmonary disease. She was surrounded by members of her immediate family who loved her immensely. She was born in northern Maine where she was raised and attended school. She moved to the Greater Hartford area many years ago and had a distinguished career at various local businesses among which were The Hartford National Bank, Newington Builders, Rizzo Pool and the Sovereign Bank branch office at Bishop’s Corner in West Hartford from which she retired several years ago. During the 1970s she served her country as a member of the United States Army Reserve from which she received an honorable discharge. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard K. Scholl of Farmington; her mother and father Edward and Delia Caveney of Caribou, ME; brothers Norman Caveney, Roland Caveney and Edward Caveney Jr.; and a niece Robin Grant. She is survived by one brother, Eldred Caveney of Virginia Beach, VA, and four sisters: Charlene Caveney of Roseville, CA, Carlene Donovan of Washburn, ME, Dolores Grant of Bristol and Linda Murphy of Avon, as well as a plethora of nieces who live around the country. She had a large number of friends who shared her many interests. During her married life she spent many happy weekends and vacations with her husband and boating enthusiast friends at the marina in Chester. In addition she was an avid reader, a superb gardener and a wonderful photographer. In fact the number of photographs that she left behind was in the thousands; every one of which was a poignant memory of times gone by. She loved her family deeply and they will forever miss her laughter and warm sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by many.
