Blades, Erik Brandon

Erik Brandon Blades, of East Hartford, formerly of Unionville was killed in a car accident on August 6, 2015, in Glastonbury. Born on September 17, 1996, in Nashua, New Hampshire, he was the beloved son of Amy (Brignano) Blades of Unionville and John Allen Blades of East Hartford. Erik was a graduate of Synergy High School in East Hartford and was currently employed by UPS in Hartford. Erik lived a clean life, was always active, loved playing basketball, football, baseball and wrestling; and was planning on enlisting in the Air Force. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Taylor, Madison, and brother William, all of Unionville, his maternal grandparents Pauline Potvin Brignano of Farmington and Patsy John Brignano of Bloomfield, paternal grandfather Joseph Ralph Blades Sr. of Midlothian, Virginia and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 6:00 PM at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, 224 Lovely Street, Avon, Connecticut. There are no calling hours.
