Leone, Philomena Pagnozzi

Philomena Pagnozzi Leone, 90, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. Philomena, daughter of the late Josephine Allegretto Pagnozzi and Augostino Pagnozzi, was born July 3, 1925 in East Hartford. She lived the majority of her life in Avon, where she raised her two daughters, Gina Leone D’Andrea and Lenore Leone Severni. Philomena was active in various clubs, including the Avon Women’s Club and the Golf Club of Avon, as well as in town politics. Philomena is predeceased by her late husband Arthur Leone and is survived by her two daughters; Gina Leone D’Andrea and Lenore Leone Severni; sons-in-laws Raymond D’Andrea and William Severni; and grandchildren Captain Paul Severni and Justina Severni.

Calling Hours

Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home 111 Main St. Unionville on Tuesday (Oct. 20) from 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Funeral Service

The funeral procession from the Ahern Funeral home Tuesday Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m. will be followed by the funeral liturgy at the Church of Saint Ann in Avon at 11 a.m.

Burial

Burial will follow in the family plot at the Saint Ann Cemetery.

Memorial Contribution

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
