Pease, BartonBarton Witbeck Pease, 41, of West Haven, CT, passed away after a long illness with Asthma, on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Born in Hartford, CT on March 17th, 1974, Barton is survived by his parents, Robert and Hillary Pease, sister, Samantha Pease Doering and his brother- in- law, Jason Doering. He was beloved “Uncle Bartie” to his niece, Alexandria Hillary Doering, and two nephews, Andrew Witbeck Doering and William Robert Doering. In addition to his parents he leaves his many beloved Aunts and Uncles, Susie and Drex Patterson, Travis and Tom Kranz, Tony and Janet Barton; his cousins, Morgan Patterson, Scott and Chris Barton, Riven Barton, Alex and Fran Kranz. He was predeceased by his great grandmother, Ruth Atkins Wiese, and grandparents Patricia and Alfred Pease, Richard and Patricia Barton, and Uncle, Brooks Barton.

Barton was raised in West Hartford, CT and was always an active member of the community. He was a member of the West Hartford Police Explorers program as a teenager and a graduate of Conard High School. He then went on to college at University of Alabama Birmingham where he pursued a vocational career as Nursing Assistant with the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital for 7 years in Alabama and 12 years in West Haven, Connecticut. He gave his whole heart, compassion and love every day to his work, the staff and patients he cared for. The VA was his second family.

Known for his love of sports, he was a fan of the Washington Red Skins and the New York Mets, and was an avid collector of baseball cards and comic books. He also loved mountain biking. Barton had a huge heart and a smile that was warm and contagious. He loved to talk about old memories and could light up a room with his presence. He always placed everyone before himself and wanted to bring happiness to everyone he touched. He took great pleasure in catching up with old friends, family members, and especially spoiling his niece and nephews. Barton will be greatly missed for his kindheartedness and love for his family and leaves them with many cherished memories. He will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday December 8th, at 10:00 AM, at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, Hartford. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Barton’s life.
