Pelletier, JeanineJeanine J. Pelletier, 82, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Farmington, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2016 at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville, CT surrounded by her loving family following a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on February 1, 1934 in Fort Kent, Maine daughter of the late Dedime and Bernadette Bouchard and was a school teacher before moving to CT in 1958.
She loved her family and watching it grow, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gerald L. Pelletier and her three daughters Louise Pelletier of Newington; Lynn Spencer and husband Stan of Ascutney, VT; Lisa Fekete and husband Eric of Cheshire; seven grandchildren, Kody Spencer of Stowe, VT; Rebeka and Sara Spencer of Ascutney, VT; and Emma, Sam, Charlie and Will Fekete of Cheshire. She also leaves a sister Louise Colletti and husband Joe from East Granby; sister-in-law’s, Lee Ann Bouchard-O’Connor of Newington; Pauline Bouchard of Plainville; Claire Daigle of East Hartford; Annette Pelletier of Newington; in-laws Reginald Pelletier and Yvette and Leandre Blanchard of Canada. She was predeceased by three brothers Bertrand of PA, Roland and Jean-Louis of CT and sister-in-law, Rose Bouchard of PA. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, grand nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Residence of Brookside in Avon, CT and the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville, CT for their care and compassion. In addition, the care of Eileen Tanguay and Jackie Mitchell provided Jeanine and her family with peace of mind and comfort.
Jeanine should be remembered as a simple, caring, humble, strong and loyal family member. She always put others before herself without regret or sacrifice and made everyone comfortable in her presence. Remember Jeanine with smiles, laughter and a feisty spirit. May we carry on her legacy.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 4:00-8:00pm and again on Wednesday morning, April 6, 2015 from 8:30-9:45am. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Wednesday morning at 9:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of Saint Patrick, 110 Main Street, Farmington at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Farmington.

    Gerry, Louise, Lynn and Lisa and families. So sorry to hear of Jeanine’s passing. Such a wonderful woman will truly be missed and I will never play cribbage again without remembering her. Once she taught me the game in Windsor it has always been one of my favorite memories. Love to you all and will miss my cribbage coach. Justin
