McCuin, Geraldine A.

Geraldine Ann (Rusin) McCuin, 74, of Bristol, beloved wife of Jon Peter McCuin passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday June 23, 2016. Born October 31, 1941 in Hartford, daughter of Albert and Marion (Kocur) Rusin. Raised in Burlington and known to all as “Gerry”, her first job was picking strawberries at Hogan’s Farm in Burlington where she met and fell in love with her future husband Jon (Pete McCuin). She went on to successfully raise four children and then pursued a career in the hairdressing field. Gerry enjoyed quilting and gardening, loved flowers and most of all loved her family. Gerry is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jon Peter McCuin, her children: daughter Teri McCuin, daughter Maryann Roy and her husband, Robert A. Roy, son, Bob McCuin and his wife Louise McCuin, daughter, Lisa Buchardt and her husband Paul Buchardt, Grandchildren: Aaron BenMaor and his wife Gina Bors-BenMaor, Shawn BenMaor and Jessie Udeen, Seth Roy, Amanda Roy, Nathan McCuin, Annie McCuin-Ursaki, Joshua Buchardt and Great-Grandchildren: Dominick BenMaor, and Julia BenMaor. She also leaves behind her brothers: Albert (Sonny) Rusin and his wife Marie Rusin, Joseph Rusin and Katherine (Kellie) Febbroriello as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home 111 Main Street, Unionville Monday (June 27th) from 8:30 am until 10:15 am. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Monday (June 27th) at 10:15 am followed by the funeral liturgy at St Patrick’s Church, Collinsville @ 10:30 am. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Hospital Home Care, 222 Main Street Bristol, CT 06010.
