John Edward Dexheimer, of Farmington and Fenwick Connecticut, died Saturday in a tragic accident. He was 62. A Connecticut businessman, John was most recently the president and owner of Regal Supply and previously served as chief executive officer of Argo Industries. An avid sailor and skier, John loved the shores of Connecticut and winters in Vermont almost as much as he adored his family. John graduated from Norwich University. John is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Elizabeth Godbout Dexheimer, his son, John Farrell Dexheimer, daughter, Elizabeth Anne McLeish, son-in-law, Watson Monroe McLeish, parents, Martin and Jean Dexheimer, three sisters, Amy Dexheimer Barrett (Lee), Janice Dexheimer Place (Charlie) and Laura Dexheimer Balsewicz (Donald), many dear friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday (Sept. 10) in the Church of St. John on 161 Main Street in Old Saybrook at 10:30 a.m.
BurialThe burial will be private.
Memorial ContributionIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of John to the Pettipaug Sailing Academy at P.O. Box 372, Essex.
