Jones, Phyllis C.

Phyllis C. Jones, 89, of Unionville, beloved wife of the late Allen Louis Jones Sr., passed away peacefully Sunday, February 26th. Born December 18th, 1927 in Burlington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Thelma (Kingsbury) Jones. Phyllis moved to CT as a teenager but never truly left her Vermont roots behind. She was active in the Episcopal Church in both Unionville and Plainville but above all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Phyllis leaves behind the following family members, her daughters, Sandra Jones Rogala and husband Allen, Alana Jones Baranoski and husband David, her son, Allen Louis Jr., and wife Michelle, her grandchildren, Jeremy David Baranoski and wife Fumiko Ishikawa, Allen Louis Rogala and wife Donna, Peter Rogala and wife Erin, Allen Louis Jones III, Owen Patrick Jones, and Catherine Valzania and her great grandchildren, Colton Rogala, Luke Rogala and Oscar Shota Ishikawa Baranoski. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Monday (March 6th) from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral services will be held in The Ahern Funeral Home at 10:30am with Fr. George Roberts, Rector of St. James Parish, Farmington officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. In celebration of her life, flowers are encouraged, as Phyllis may now enjoy them allergy free.
