Mike’s been a real friend and loyal, faithful member of AVFD serving as Fire Police. He did the job rain or shine and was ready with smile and served until illness made him cut back. For last two years when he ventured out, (risking infection) to Big Y shopping he always greeted Bagger Dan (his buddy, my son) with fist bumps – big deal between the two. All we got is our friendships as we pass through and Mike was a real friend, ‘tried and true.’ We’ll miss Mike. Dan and I will. We all will.
    Journey Safe, Mike. Well done.

Mike was a great guy. I got to know him as we worked together over the last 10 years on multiple projects. I can truly say there are few who are as dedicated and enthusiastic as he was. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with the family.

Mike shepherded me into the Travelers fold as my first manager 17 years ago and I’ll never forget his gracious efforts to help me succeed. He is missed. May you find peace.

Sending my sincere sympathy to Mike’s family. You chose a good picture of him; that is how I remember him, with a smile. We worked together at Travelers about 10 years ago. I will never forget his work ethic, concern for his co-workers, or his laugh. He is gone much too soon! I will be praying for God’s peace and comfort for your family.

We are so sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. He was a very wonderful family man. We were only neighbors for 3 short years but he welcomed us the very first day we moved in. We will miss your smiling face and waves from across the street.

    Dear Kachmar family,
We are so sorry for your loss. I cannot tell you enough how great a person Mike was both at his job and as an individual. His laugh was infectious, he had such great character and was a pleasure to be around. He always talked fondly about his family and his love for all of them especially his grandkids. May your memories of him console you at this time. I know that we have many of them that bring us joy. We will all miss him. Sincerely, Sharon and Pete

Very sorry for your loss. Mike had interviewed me when I first started for Travelers 19 years ago. He was a real nice guy and I enjoyed working with him. I moved out of Claim about 10 years ago but still whenever I ran into him, I would make a point to say hi.
