Badal, Marsha (Lofquist)

Marsha (Lofquist) Badal of Burlington made her final journal peacefully surrounded by family on December 17, 2018 at the age of 63.
Born on May 27, 1955 to Doris (Greenier) and Hewitt “John” Lofquist, Marsha graduated from Berlin High School Class of 1974, after which she enrolled in the National Academy of Hairdressing. Upon graduation, Marsha worked as a hairdresser at JCPenney Co. for 34 years where her magnetic personality enabled her to make friends quickly. She was an avid crafter who loved gardening and was a mother to all she met.
Besides her husband, John Badal Jr. of Burlington, Marsha is survived by her sister Arline Anderson of Englewood, Florida, daughter Kerry Nadeau of Berlin, son Adam and wife Jessica Dziob of Burlington. She also leaves children Sabrina Badal and partner Carie Gouldsbrough of New Britain, Samantha Hemmerich of Bristol, and Lisa Ratliff and Dana Dziob and partner Chris Carfi of Plainville. Marsha also leaves her cherished grandchildren Mackenzie Nadeau, James and Alex Hemmerich, and two special angels that touched her life, Lena and Andrew Eifes, in addition to many nieces and nephews, and her best friend of 50 years Linda Kidd. Marsha was predeceased by her brothers, John Lofquist and William Claffey. Many thanks to Foothills VNA, especially Brenda and Diane.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt.4, Unionville on Thursday (Dec. 20) from 4:00-8:00pm. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Friday (Dec. 21) at 9:15am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in St. Patrick Church, 7 Burlington Ave., Collinsville at 10:00am. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mandell Center for MS, 490 Blue Hills Ave., Hartford, CT 06112.
