Devanney, Edward Jr.

Edward J. Devanney Jr., 66, of Farmington, died Friday April 23. Edward was predeceased by his wife Beverly Lavine Devanney. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Beth Grey-Fetherston and Robert Fetherston of Farmington, nieces and nephews, Dr. Elizabeth Z. Grey and husband, Dr. Martin Asis and their children, Ethan Grey Asis, Romer Henry Grey Asis of Minneapolis, MN, Melissa Grey Jones and husband, Kevin Jones of Ithaca, NY and their children, Emily Jones and Matthew Jones, Tara Grey Ventura and husband, Jerry Ventura of Boston, MA and their children, Nicholas Ventura and Katherine Ventura, Robert Zane Grey and his wife, Tomomi Grey of Nagano, Japan and their children, Anri Grey, Sara Grey and Noah Grey, Eric Zane Grey of New York, NY, Kevin Zane Grey and his wife Jessi Alva and their son Isaac Grey of Bellevue, WA, Laurie Tursi and husband, James of Glastonbury and their children, Kaitlynn Tursi, Kevin Tursi and Aidan Tursi, Daryl Lynn Johnson and husband, Christian Ruzieh of Julian, CA, Margaret Maher of Canton, Rachel Livingston of North Carolina, Jerry Maher, Jr. of Avon, Brian Livingston of Cary, NC. After graduating from St. Bonaventure University, Edward served our nation as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. After serving in the Army, he worked for United Technologies Pratt & Whitney division until retirement. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (April 26t) 10 a.m. in St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There will be no calling hours. Friends and relatives are asked to go directly to the church for the service. The family expresses their gratitude for the outstanding care that Edward received through Arden Courts of Farmington and McLean Hospice. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the McLean Hospice Annual Fund, 75 Great Pond Road, Simsbury, CT 06070. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc.
