Lauretti, Hugo

Hugo A. Lauretti, 96, formerly of Farmington, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 23rd. Born in Farmington, June 17th, 1916, son of the late Umberto and Mary (Grossi) Lauretti. Prior to retiring, he was a Machinist with Veeder Root Company for 45 years. Hugo was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a longtime communicant at the Church of St. Patrick in Farmington, was an avid Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers fan, a golf fanatic and a sports enthusiast. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth A. Cassarino of Berlin, his son John P. Lauretti and his wife Kathleen of Ada, MI, four grandsons, Joseph Cassarino III, Sean Lauretti, Scott Cassarino and Todd Lauretti, four great grandchildren, Sophie, Nicholas, Dominic and Anthony and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers George and Carl Lauretti and his sisters, Ann Sala, Margaret Orvis, Mary Battista, Anita Rosati, Julia Grossi, Yolanda Sineti and Edith McNey. Friends may call at the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington on Wednesday (June 27) from 8:45-9:45am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick at 10:00am. Burial with full military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington, CT 06032 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
